Administering Non-Prescription Medication (eg. Paracetamol) to Students - Reminder
A reminder to parents that when a student present to the (school office/administration/sick bay) and is feeling unwell or experiencing significant or acute pain, a member of staff will contact their parent or guardian seeking permission to administer non-prescription pain relief (eg. paracetamol). If a parent or guardian can not be contacted, the student will stay in (school office/administration/sick bay) however we will not be able to give them any non-prescription pain relief medication. Any previous permission to give non-prescription pain relief no longer applies. You will receive a phone call each time your child presents to the (school office/administration/sick bay) seeking consent.
This does not mean that paracetamol can be sent to school just in case or staff can be asked to administer. This would be in an extreme emergency.
Dear Parents and Carers
Dear Parents,
I sigh with great relief this week to let you know that we are now able to reconfigure our "what was Parent Forum" into a new system with full structural support and documentation from the CSO.
In an email following this you will receive information from the CSO about the two optional structures and a google form to have voice regarding what it will look like in our community. Please take a moment to read the information and have a voice.
Please put Monday April 8th in your diary for our meeting to look at the survey results and move forward.
We will have baby sitting available and dinner.
Cheers
Ann

Harmony Day Tuesday 21st March
Many thanks for the support received for our mufti day fundraiser on Tuesday, for Harmony Day. This was a special day where we recognised the diversity of cultures in Australia and came together from various backgrounds. The day helped to raise awareness about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. Our School Captains collect $215 for the Refugee Advice and Casework organisation. Many thanks for your generosity.
Project Compassion
We are blown away by the generosity of our school community Project Compassion donations. So far we have raised a total of $779.75. This money assists Catholic Missions to help vulnerable communities around the world and in Australia, to aid them in overcoming the challenges of poverty. We thank you again for your support with this initiative.

Stage 1 News
Spelling - Sounds Write
Stage One students have started a new spelling program called Sounds Write. We are currently learning that 2 letters can create one sound ( eg. sh, ch). We have been Word Building, playing the Sound Swap Game, completing dictation lessons and we are now noticing these sounds in our reading and writing.
Harmony Day
On Harmony Day, we read a beautiful book called ‘I’m Australian Too” by Mem Fox. This book celebrates Australia’s incredible multicultural heritage. The students had to interview each other and investigate how diverse our class is. What a celebration this was! Check out our video to hear about the diversity of the families in our class.
Creative Arts
We began this term looking at abstract art and now we are creating realistic self portraits. Using paint and oil pastels, we are examining the facial features that make each of us unique
