Dear Parents and Carers
It's been a lovely week joining with the children, staff and families at St James for our final mass; Graduation dinner with the year 6 students and their parents; final school awards assembly and today with St James scattered across the Clarence bowling, sliding and swimming. It has been lovely to spend so much time with so many different people and discuss how much children have grown as learners and as members of our community.
Our Year 6 students are ready for a new adventure and while some tell me they are a bit nervous, we know that they are ready to fly. Well done on a great ending to the year. To the other year groups, I look forward to joining with you again in the adventure of learning (and please a little bit of fun!) I am confident in your futures and know that the teaching staff are eager to work with you.
To Mrs J, going to miss you, but know you will always be a big part of our school.
Does that mean you join the alumni group? Someone asked me this week is it time to organise one.
Best wishes to all families for a lovely Christmas break and thank you for your support.
See you in 2023.
Ann

Advent - A Season of Joy
RE News
As we come to the end of another huge year, we are graced with time to rest, recover and reconnect with God’s creation, looking for hope-filled signs of God’s love, care and attention. Let’s delight in finding signs of God’s love in all things, especially in surprising and unexpected places. May all of our families have a blessed, holy and happy Christmas and a restful break over the Christmas season.
I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope.
Psalm 130:5
Joy to the World (Phil Wickham) - A classic carol that celebrates the joy and sovereignty of God. Let us rejoice in God’s faithfulness and how Jesus’ birth delivers salvation to the earth.

Many thanks to everyone who donated to our Mini Vinnies Christmas Appeal this year. We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our families and their beautiful donations to those who are in need this Christmas. These donations were picked up by St Vincent de Paul on Wednesday.
