If 2 children in the same family are sharing a bike we will store the bike in the hall.
All rides are in the morning. This means that as with last year you can go to the bike rack to collect but please ring the office so that we can keep track of entry to site.
Check in qr code card will be on the school sign.
To ensure we follow the PHO please do not congregate and chat on site. This is more important than ever with the evolving situation in the valley.
This event was postponed last term due to being in lockdown. It will now take place WEEK 2 on school grounds, including the new bush bike track at the back of the school. Students are able to wear mufti clothes with joggers and bring their bikes or scooters, helmets on their scheduled day(see below) to participate in this fun event.

Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back to the last 50 days of learning for the 2021 school year. I say this deliberately as there is still much learning to be done and every day counts.
There are many things we can achieve in this 50 day period. We have a group of children preparing for secondary education and another group beginning the school journey. With the rapidly changing guidelines we ask you to continue to monitor all communications as the boundaries for schools are moving (sometimes daily).
Some of the movement is around...
Little J's - Last night I received notification that we can hold some form of Little J's in the coming weeks. This will be very limited though. ( Look for the email early next week)
Awards Assembly - At this stage we are in a bit of a holding pattern but would ask that you keep Tuesday December 14th in your diary for possibly the final assembly. I do expect we will have some access as we did last year but the exact plan is still not clear from the PHO.
Graduation- I am hoping we may be able hold some function but as yet unsure what that may entail.
Fee Support
If you wish to apply for Fee Support for Term 3 there are two categories:
- Full relief for Term 3 school fees for recipients of the COVID-19 Disaster Payment - New South Wales or COVID-19 Business Grant. The waiver may be pro-rated depending on the timing of loss of income and/or eligibility for these schemes. A refund for Term 3 fees already paid can be made if requested.
Parents and carers who do not qualify for government financial assistance can still apply for COVID specific fee assistance.
Please contact me if you wish to take up either of these options for the Term 3 fees OR if your hardship is continuing into Term 4. There is some documentation required to support this but it will be a lowdoc approach.
We are now able to process these for Term3 and into Term 4.
Staffing
We have completed the majority of our staffing for 2022. With a new company structure the timelines for grants have changed and this means that we have almost finalised poasitions. When we know you will know.
Best wishes for the week ahead
Ann
RE News
A warm welcome back to all of our families after the school holidays. We hope the break provided nourishment for the body, the mind, and for the soul. May we all be energised for the work ahead, knowing that we have a loving Father who is always by our side.
A Reflection...
Richard Rohr wrote, "I think of soul as anything’s ultimate meaning which is held within. Soul is the blueprint inside of every living thing that tells it what it is and what it can become. When we meet anything at that level, we will respect, protect and love it."
We cannot connect with our soul if we don’t make time for it. How often do we rush ahead thinking of the next task to tick off our to-do list, the next milestone to achieve or the next event to plan? And do we sit with any of the things we achieve at the soul level or are we onto the next thing straight away?
What if instead we slowed down and let our souls catch up.
Allowing our souls to catch up requires deep inner listening and quiet still awareness, what we are coming to understand as dadirri. Dr Miriam Rose adds to this. She recently said “We cannot hurry the river. We have to move with its current and understand its ways.”
Imagine if we took the time to listen to our soul, move with its current and understand its ways? We might just begin to understand the beauty and the gift that lies deep within us.

Little J's
We have received notice that we can offer a very limited Orientation. The number of sessions is probably no more than 5 with staggered arrivals and departures. The length per session is 3 hours in total. While the first 2 session are orientation with the children only, there is some conjector as to what goes beyond. There is another meeting at CSO next Monday and I hope for some clarity after that.
Start date? Friday 22nd October- details beyond will be provided by email early next week.

SPORT dates in 2022
On Friday, Mr Dougherty attended the Sports Meeting for the Clarence region via zoom. There will be some challenges next year with sports trials, carnivals and timing of events. While all efforts will be made to make sure the events are publicised accurately and in a timely manner, we are expecting some compression in the timelines we work under.
These are the Swimming Carnival Dates 2022 as of 8/10/2021.
-School Carnival will be held in week 2 on Friday 4th February
-Zone Carnival has not be confirmed yet but will be in either Week 3 or 4

*As soon as a Zone Carnival date and venue is confirmed we will let you know.
